FALKENHOLZ Competition - Take Down Recurve Bow

Falkenholz bows have always been the epitome of highly aesthetic and high-performance bows. And this will continue to be the case in the future. FALKENHOLZ is the no. 1 manufacturer in Europe. Falkenholz bows have always been synonymous with outstanding performance combined with unrivalled aesthetics and craftsmanship.

conceived, designed and tested one by one by Christian Vorderegger.

Anyone who knows Christian Vorderegger knows that one thing counts above all for him: maximum performance and precision. He makes no compromises on this point, so one thing was immediately clear: in addition to the Essence and the production of custom bows, there had to be a model that, like him, stood for absolute high performance, a predestined tournament bow - a true workhorse, without compromise.

Competition bows without compromise

What makes a competition bow in Christian's eyes? It needs convincing geometry and outstanding performance. It needs maximum stability and a smooth shot. And the Falkenholz COMPETITION offers all this. Christian Vorderegger relies on the most popular Falkenholz riser, the Peregrine with thumb rest and knurling, in combination with high-performance limbs.
To keep this tournament bow affordable, Christian and his team focused exclusively on shooting characteristics and performance. Decorative lines or riser overlaps were deliberately omitted, as they offer no added value in terms of performance, apart from aesthetic aspects. Falkenholz has therefore succeeded in designing a bow that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of shooting performance and workmanship and thus offers excellent value for money.

This tournament bow is the ultimate bow for the tournament purist who expects top performance, focuses on the technical characteristics of the bow and, just like world and European champion Christian, does not want to compromise.

Function before appearance: maximum precision does not exclude aesthetics

The fact that appearance must be subordinate to performance does not mean that aesthetics must be sacrificed. Maximum performance is also compatible with an attractive appearance. The COMPETITION impresses with its unobtrusive and essential design: the one-piece riser is made of the original stabilised HD falconry wood. This slatted wood with beautiful brown-black grain impresses with the fineness of its grain. However, the material was chosen first and foremost for its shooting performance. Falkenholz HD wood is a homogenous composite material consisting of several layers of wood. These layers are completely impregnated with epoxy resin and create a particularly rigid and heavy core body compared to core bodies made of Technowood, pure wood or other wood variants. No other materials or inlays are required to create a heavy, vibration-free structure that impresses with its precision. However, the natural and pleasant feel of wood must not be renounced.

The main characteristics of a true top bow.

There are two important factors in the centre of the bow that could not be dispensed with: the thumb rest and the knurling. The thumb rest of the Peregrine riser guides the thumb optimally, thus ensuring a constant grip of the bow hand. The knurling on the palm rest optimises the grip. This means that your Falkenholz COMPETITION is always perfectly in your hand for maximum precision. (and always automatically repositions itself at the same pressure point of the hand).

G5 - The evolution of the Falkenholz competition flex

The G5 competition limb is an exciting evolution of the proven G4 limbs. These improvements are the result of innovation, precision engineering and the relentless pursuit of perfection. The G5's slightly modified geometry and the integration of high-quality 3K carbon fibre allow for improved shot accuracy and shooting behaviour. The combination of 3K carbon fibre with a high-performance bamboo core and highly stable black glass lays the foundation for impressive further development in the field of archery. The result: quiet shots and smooth shooting behaviour. Experience a shooting sensation characterised by unrivalled quietness. Regardless of whether you prefer a short or long shot, the G5 offers absolutely smooth and progressive shooting behaviour.

But the highlight of the G5 is undoubtedly the new carbon material. This high quality 3K visible carbon offers unrivalled torsional stiffness, which translates into a precise

Importantly, Christian Vorderegger, chief developer at Falkenholz, contributed his vast knowledge and rich experience to the development of the G5 limb. As one of the world's leading archers, with the titles of World Champion and European Champion

World Champion finish!
